Inwoners van Pretoria en die groter metro sal moet saamstaan teen die onwettige tariefverhogings wat die Tshwane-metroraad vandeesweek sonder die goedkeuring van Nersa ingestel het. Om dié onwettige optrede om te draai, het AfriForum gister hofstukke op die metroraad en Nersa beteken nadat dié munisipaliteit sedert die begin van die maand voortgegaan het om onwettige elektrisiteitverhogings sonder Nersa se goedkeuring te implementeer. Volgens Jaco Grobbelaar, AfriForum se distrikskoördineerder vir Groter Pretoria, hou die Tshwane-metro vol dat hulle die uitvoerende gesag is en daarom die verhoogde tarief sonder die nodige goedkeuring van Nersa mag implementeer. “Kragtens die wet is die Tshwane-metro nie by magte om die tarief te implementeer nie en ons sal teen dié onbillikheid optree. Pretoria - Police believe they have uncovered the reason behind the high number of theft of cellphones and laptops out of cars in the city and anywhere else across the country.
